Cat Toys

Made as gifts for cat-loving friends. Inside each toy is an oatmeal box filled with old rocks, and the rope is secured around the box with hot glue. Chopsticks wound with wire are secured inside the box, and wire hangings are "battable" and have ribbon and fabric scraps sewn into the end of the wire.

Gossip Girl Wall Decor

Beach glass/coal earrings

These earrings are made out of beach glass from the shores of Lake Superior. They are fastened to the silver earring hook with silver wire. The second earring in the picture is actually made out of washed up coal, smoothed over due to many waves. From Michigan's Upper Peninsula, the coal is washed up on the beach from the sunken wooden steamer Langham. It sunk in 1910 but there are fresh coal pieces every summer, perfect for earrings.

Pain-relieving sock

Thsi may look like an ordinary sock...but is certainly is not! This sock is full of deer feed, and is sewn shut at the top. It is made for heating in the microwave and takes approximately for 1 minute 15 seconds to get a nice "heat-pack" sensation. It is used for cramping, muscle pain, back pain, etc. It can also be put in the refrigerator/freezer to be used as an ice pack. Various sock patterns available. This is a board that has buttons and beads holding the ribbon in place. It is made out of old cardboard that I got from my university bookstore, and my roommate's old jeans. It can hold paper with the ribbon and has push-pins to hold other items. The cardboard is very thick and can withstand push-pins and also has a handle on the back if one wants to hang it on their wall.
